From The Spanish Steps you can With your back towards the Spanish Steps take the main street called Via dei Condotti until it meets a main street called Via del Corso. The Fendi building will be in front of you with Swarovski on your left. Turn left and keep walking until you find an adjacent street on your left hand side called Via delle Muratte. Take this street and you will see Trevi Fountain at the top. walk to the Trevi fountain in 15 minutes admiring the true heart of the Eternal City. The imposing buildings, the majestic architecture, memories of an empire long gone, remind you of where you are. This jewel of water, is heard before it is actually seen and the little piazza seems to be bursting at its seams with tourists, vendors, pidgeons, shops and of course the gem itself Bernini’s Trevi. The fountain assured its place in pop culture when it played backdrop to Anita Ekberg in La Dolce Vita, forever immortalized on film. Legend has it that tossing a coin behind your back into the fountain will assure that you  visit Rome another time. Why not toss two?
