Tour Rome in 1 Day
Alas your time is winding down and there might just be enough time to squeeze in The Pantheon. However the doors of the Pantheon close at 6:30pm, so it might be a bit difficult to go inside, after Return to Piazza Risorgimento and look for the bus stop with the words 'CRESCENZIO/RISORGIMENTO.'
The bus stop is located in front of a snack bar and you should see the tram and bus depot on the other side of the road.
Take Bus no. 492. After 13 stops you should get off at stop SENATO which is in front of a bank called Monte Paschi di Siena. Cross over the road and take the first left on to the street called Via della Colonna Antonia. Follow the street and turn left and the end. Take the first right onto Via in Aquiro.
There is a little piazza called Piazza Capranica which you walk the length off keeping to your far left.
You should enter a street called Via degli Orfani with Cafè Taza D'Oro on your left. Follow this street and you will see the Pantheon in front of you. traversing the city from the Vatican. Not to fear the Pantheon is still jaw-dropping from the outside, even more beautiful as the first lights twinkle in the piazza. If you do have enough time to go inside, immediately avert your gaze upwards, to the magnificent architectural wonder surrounding you. The history and facts I will not elaborate on, but suffice to say, that it is one of the top picks to finish a day in Rome. There are some restaurants in the piazza, should you want to dine by candlelight, as you close your final minutes here. A fitting toast and a promise to return as the Pantheon watches over you, closes your time with us.
