Vitti

Pastry Shops in Rome, Italy

Vitti

Vitti, situated in the enchanting, intimate square of San Lorenzo in Lucina, is a famous bar and pastry shop offering the best in the world of Italian pastries. The items they offer are not just limited to one region of Italy, therefore you can find mini cannoli from Sicily happily sitting next to rum soaked babà from Naples, rows of chocolate covered orange peel resting above bite sized Sacher cakes and a vast array of mouth watering and high calorific treats.

The one aspect we love the most about Vitti besides the pastries, is the large outdoor seating area available in the square. Many tourists and Romans stop here through the course of the day, to grab a quick morning breakfast, a light lunch or fast aperitivo. The service is quick and efficient, but as is the rule in Italy, prices nearly double should you choose to sit, instead of stand inside at the counter. However, its worth it compared to overpriced bars with no views, throughout the city.
