If you're looking for an American bar in Rome, with endless drink specials, student discounts and themed events, then the Drunken Ship is the place for you. Located in the most famous piazza in Rome for partying, Campo dei Fiori, the Drunken Ship occupies a sheltered corner in the heart of the action.

We've been here numerous times and its probably the only place in the piazza which is open past 1am and still has people spilling out into the street. The reason it's so popular, is that it follows the American concept of partying, themed events like toga night, 70's disco night and other fun events, coupled with drink specials, hot bartenders and rocking music. It usually heats up around 11pm and the place is usually over run with large student groups especially during the spring and summer months who party into the wee hours of the morning, taking advantage of the cheap shots and prime location in the center of Rome. Be warned the Drunken Ship can get quite rowdy especially on the weekends so we wouldn't recommend it to those looking for a quiet mellow evening.
