Gelato in Rome, Italy

San Crispino is well-known throughout Rome for its commitment to quality ingredients, rigorous production process and the absence of artificial flavors, additives and cones. With a specific range of flavors for gelato and sorbets, San Crispino is one of the best gelaterie in Rome according to many.

The fruit and we don't mean the concentrate variety, has been chosen at its peak, not too young, not too old but just right. It is with this base, that the flavor of the gelato is one of the richest and in a sense purest (free from colorings and other additives) in all of Rome.

San Crispino does not use cones, all gelato therefore comes in paper cups in varying sizes. We've tried the gelato fruit-based and other flavors, in all three locations closest to us and as good as it is, we still have found better. Of course you should try it to see for yourself,  as many and we do mean many people disagree with us and are adamant that this is the best gelato in Rome.
