Cavalletti is a highly regarded pastry shop off the beaten tourist path in the district of Salaria. It has garnered numerous praise from Italian food critics, due to its homemade pastries and chocolates and replication of traditional Italian recipes.

The pastry shop has an entire section dedicated to chocolate, as its master chocolatiers create, mold and sculpt amazing creations from the finest quality chocolate. The big draw for us is that they produce one of the most popular sweets in Italy, 'torroni'. These delectable nougats, a staple at Christmas time in all Italian homes, are hand made at the shop in a variety of flavors.
