Nightlife in Rome, Italy
Anima though it is a well-stocked and lively bar, doubles as a dance club later in the night and into the wee hours of the mornings. In the historic centre of Rome it can be difficult to find a club and most bars close at midnight due to Italian law. Anima therefore becomes a hot spot for many, as it remains one of the few places in Rome open past midnight.
With an intimate dance area both upstairs and downstairs, the resident DJ feeds off the energy of the crowd, mixing and scratching the best and hottest tunes in music. The top tunes in rock, pop, house, reggae, rap and R&B are played throughout the evening. We recommend going a bit after 10:30 pm as before can be a bit dead. There is usually a bouncer outside who maintains the balance between men and women in the club and ensures that any undesirable elements stay out. Cost to enter is free but drinks can be a pricey 10 euro a pop. Definitely a good time is had by all in the club and it is possible to meet many young tourists from around the world.
