Events in Rome, Italy
So we know we're a bit late in bringing you this information. As the saying goes however, better late than never. FIFA Fan Fest which kicked off in June, has been attracting scores of football fanatics to Piazza di Siena in Ville Borghese.
With only six international cities participating in this first time venture, if you do have the opportunity to visit Rome during this period we definitely recommend seeing at least one match.
We took the opportunity to visit last Saturday and we were quite impressed by the activities on offer not just for adults but also for children. For those who enjoy the company of other fanatics while watching the World Cup matches, the giant T.V screen at the center of the Piazza will certainly provide a memorable experience.
If watching the matches isn't enough, there are other activities like body painting and speed ball daily. The best part of this whole experience is that its totally free. Up to 23,000 people turned up to watch quarterfinal matches and numbers are expected to grow as both the tournament and the weather in Rome heat up.
