Nature According to De Chirico

Events in Rome, Italy

Nature According to De Chirico
'Nature according to De Chirico' is an excellent opportunity for visitors to Rome, to admire and appreciate the works of the father of Metaphysical Art, Giorgio De Chirico. Metaphysical art is dominated by the depiction of familiar objects outside of their explanatory contexts.

Objects which include buildings, statues and trains are presented separate and apart, in stark juxtaposition to their surrounding environment.Giorgio De Chirico was born in 1888 in Greece, but later on moved to Italy where in 1910 he painted his first painting in the 'Metaphysical Town Square' series. His work become known for the haunted, brooding mood that his pieces evoke in all who see them.
