Nightlife in Rome, Italy
![]()
L'Alibi is the night club for those who want to lose all their inhibitions and experience a decadent and surreal night in the Eternal City. This gay club with over 40 years of history, has redefined a generation, becoming a hot spot not just for those in the gay community but for Romans and Italians from every walk of life.
Located in the club district of Rome, Monte Testaccio, L'Alibi holds the corner position and can easily be identified by the larger than life personalities spilling out into the streets. It is notoriously difficult to get in especially on a Friday and Saturday night and the bouncers are extremely selective of the persons who can enter the club. In other words, normal is not the order of the day.
We went many times and can say that this place plays the best music in all of Testaccio. The girls in our group felt the most comfortable in this club, and the people were the most friendly types you could ever want to meet in Rome. The club usually hosts special over the top events and the glass floor on the top level gives new meaning to the word expose. Open Thursday - Sunday.
