This shop is known, not just in Ostia but also in Rome, as the best place for Krapfen when you venture to this seaside town. Owned and run by the Paglia family, any given afternoon will find a line snaking outside the shop, as hoards of people wait to sample the warmest and softest Krapfen you have ever tasted.

The shop offers many types of Krapfen, fruit or cream filled or simple with no filling at only 70 - 80 cents a pop. Whatever type you choose, you can be assured that each will be covered in a heavy dusting of sugar, which children seem to delight in licking off their fingers. Stop by after lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Ostia, and enjoy a nice walk on a sunny afternoon.
