The 78th edition of the prestigious Piazza di Siena will take place this year from 27th - 30th May, 2010 in Villa Borghese. The four day event is designed to showcase the best in show jumping, with teams from all over the world including America, France and Spain participating annually in the competition.

From its inauguration in 1928, the event has been considered one of the more prestigious events in the show jumping calendar, attracting nearly 50,000 visitors in 2009.One of the highlights during the four days, is the historic Carabinieri display, which features the mounted division of the Italian gendarmerie. Performing with 145 horses -only grey and chestnut colored ones - the Carabinieri thrill the crowd by executing a series of complicated and delicate routines always finishing with the ceremonial final charge.
