Doppio Zero is a trendy hot spot for Rome's young adults. Located in the business district of Ostiense, Doppio Zero serves everything from cornetti to fresh bread and pastries, right up to pasta, meat and mouth watering desserts.

After 6pm when most Romans have finished work, they crowd themselves on to the sidewalk in front the modest sized restaurant and bar, and patiently wait for a seat inside or outside. We had the pleasure of visiting one nippy spring evening, and we were shocked to see the amount of people still in office garb lining up outside.

What keeps them coming back? The mouth watering aperitivo which takes place every evening from 18:30 - 21:00. Besides the usual bite-sized sandwiches, olives and potato chips, Doppio Zero offers cold pastas and meats, along with warm quiches and prime cheeses.
The over-stretched staff do their best to keep pace with the volume of customers, which may result in unusually long waits in some cases. To enjoy Doppio Zero to the fullest, we would recommend taking advantage of their daily lunch buffet or their Sunday brunch, if you are in the area of Testaccio or Trastevere.
