Taking the best characteristics of both pizza, the dough is left to rise for 72 hrs rendering the finished product light, airy and just a bit crispy. On top of this crust, only the best Italian meats, vegetables and cheeses are chosen in preselected combinations.
Al Fontanone, a classic Roman trattoria serves up delicious thin-crust pizza, piping hot from their wood burning ovens in Trastevere. Being typically Roman, the pizza is topped with a selected range of ingredients that are tried and tested perfect complements, to the tasty crispy crust. You certainly won't find pineapples vying for space with mozzarella on the top of your pizza.

We cannot express enough our love for this bustling and rustic pizza place in the heart of the historic centre. Obviously we arent alone in our sentiments as there is almost always a line of patrons on the outside waiting to get in. This restaurant is as unpretentious as they come with quick, down to earth service, quality food and unbeatable prices. Seriously, we haven't found another place which has this winning combination in the notoriously tourist trap centre of the city.
