Easter brunch/lunch for Romans is a wonderful time to get together with family or friends especially those who you may not see normally throughout the year. The saying in Italy 'Natale con i tuoi, Pasqua con chi vuoi!' literally means Christmas with your family, Easter with whom ever you please.

Many Romans go out of the city during the Easter weekend to visit friends in other parts of Italy, while others pass leisurely lunches at restaurants in the city on Sunday and Monday.
For most tourists the opportunity to be invited to a Roman home for Easter brunch is very rare, however you can certainly enjoy the traditional cuisine at some restaurants in Rome.
Please be aware that reservations are absolutely necessary and if you see a place you like reserve immediately. Finding a free table Easter weekend at many restaurants is almost impossible. Some restaurants offer special menus for this time of year while others do not.
