Sports Events in Rome, Italy

The Mens Volleyball World Championship will be played in 10 cities throughout Italy starting on 24th September, 2010. Rome has the distinct honor of hosting quarters, semis and the final matches of the tournament, which will see 24 teams from around the world competing.

Veteran teams like Cuba, USA and Brazil will play against newer ones such as Iran, Cameroon and Egypt in what is expected to be an action packed competition. Spectators will be able to enjoy the beauty and diversity in the 10 chosen Italian cities as they follow their teams throughout Italy. Quarterfinal matches in Rome begin on 4th October culminating with the finals on 10th October. Be sure to check out hotel specials within the Eternal City during this time.
